Te Puna Taiao Champion - Jasper House

Part of the kaupapa of Te Puna Taiao is about supporting our tamariki to understand kaitiakitanga. At the end of 2018, Jasper House showed us what that looks like as he learnt about how most Christmas wrapping paper cannot be recycled.

Jasper embodied the innovative and creative principles we love and designed reusable wrapping bags, made from recycled fabric and ribbon. With the support of his mum, Claire, Jasper sewed his reusable wrapping bags and sold them to fundraise money to help the Te Puna Taiao kaupapa.

We think his passion for our Taiao, his work ethic and his kindness are a great example for everyone.
