PURPOSE AND EXPLANATION OF MECHANISM
To provide for riskier play experiences to help children learn and practise making judgments around risk, build motor skills, perseverance, self-control and resilience – the very skills research shows our kids need to thrive, focused on the principle that “school grounds should not be as safe as possible, but as safe as necessary” (International Schoolground Alliance)
To build physical fitness and fine and gross motor skills
